My ultimate goal as an editor is to enhance your story so it can shine and reach its full potential.

Note: I do not use AI in any of my editing services. I believe stories have individual and unique hearts and souls, and that is something that only a human can truly connect with and understand. When you hire me, I apply my skills, knowledge, and experience to help you elevate your manuscript.

Manuscript Assessment:

What it is: This is a big-picture assessment on the content of your manuscript. I read through and analyze the plot, characters, pacing, and style, and provide you with a written assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of each element within your story. There will be no direct in-line comments in the manuscript. In the multi-page assessment, I will also offer guidance and advice for your next draft.

Who it’s for: Anyone who is looking for an objective assessment of where their story is at on a big-picture level. This is especially ideal for those who have never had a professional edit before.

I recommend starting with one of my manuscript assessments to identify big-picture story and character issues. This saves time and money if your manuscript is not yet ready for a line edit or a copy edit.

Note: There are three email follow-ups included after the edit in which you can ask questions and get clarification on my feedback.

Line Edit:

What it is: This is an in-depth edit done line-by-line on your manuscript. With this, I bolster your prose and the rhythm and flow of the story. I make suggestions on how to enhance your dialogue and descriptions, improve awkward and clunky phrasing, smooth out scene transitions, and sharpen characters’ POV while keeping your unique author voice, among other things.

Who it’s for: Those who have all major elements of their story set in place and cannot find any more plot holes after implementing the feedback from a content/developmental editor. This is for anyone seeking to refine their story’s wording and enhance how it is told.

Note: There are three email follow-ups included after the edit in which you can ask questions and get clarification on my feedback.

Copyedit:

What it is: This is a comprehensive edit on the grammar of your manuscript. I will correct errors in punctuation, capitalization, spelling, tense, and the grammatical structure of sentences. A copyedit on your manuscript will clean up typos, tighten the grammar, and ensure your amazing story isn’t tripped up by the technical side.

Who it’s for: After a line edit, many writers can benefit from a copyedit as they refine their manuscript to completion. A copyedit polishes your manuscript so you have a clean copy ready for publication (whether traditional or independent) or so you can have a completed project for yourself to share with your friends and family.

Note: There are three email follow-ups included after the edit in which you can ask questions and get clarification on my feedback.
